Need a hand with Glyph Notes?
Joining the beta
Glyph Notes is in beta. Open the TestFlight link on your iPhone, install TestFlight if Apple asks, then install Glyph Notes from there. It needs iOS 26. Beta builds expire after 90 days, and TestFlight will offer the next one.
It recorded, but there are no words
Your recording is safe. The words come from a speech model that is delivered with the app. If the install was interrupted, the phone fetches the model the next time it has signal, and the words for every recording appear once it arrives. Leave the app installed and check back.
Does it work without signal?
Yes. Recording, the words, search and Ask all work with no signal.
A note is called “Untitled”, or has no topic words
Titles, topic words, the cleaned copy and Ask use Apple Intelligence on the phone. If the phone does not have it, or it is still downloading in Settings, those stay empty. You can still search by any word you said.
Where are my recordings?
Inside the app. To get one out, open it and use the share button. Deleting the app deletes everything it holds, so share anything you want to keep first.
One tap from the lock screen
Press and hold the lock screen, tap Customize, tap the minus on the flashlight or camera corner, then add the Glyph Notes Record control. One tap starts a recording. The same control can go in Control Center, and there is a Record widget for the lock screen’s widget row.
Setting up the Action Button
Settings › Action Button › Shortcut, then Glyph Notes › Record. Pick Record rather than Open App: Record starts a recording from anywhere, even with the phone locked, and never lands you on a settings screen.
The phone rang while I was recording
The tape keeps rolling through a ringing phone. It stops if you answer the call, and what was recorded up to then is kept.
Sending feedback from the beta
In TestFlight, open Glyph Notes and tap Send Beta Feedback, or take a screenshot in the app and choose Share Beta Feedback. Both reach us. Email works just as well.
